WotLK Hunter bugged? Can't get Tame the Beast quest

This is really weird. Last night I got the "The Hunters Path" (id #6068) quest from Thunderbluff, which sends me to Razor Hill. There I turned in the quest to the NPC and he gave me the quest "Taming the Beast" (id #6062). This quest is your first quest to be able to Tame Hunter pets. This quest was to go out and tame a boar with the taming stick item he gave me.

Anyways, I was tired so I logged off at this point. Today I logged in again. I no longer have the Taming the Beast quest and I don't have the taming stick item. I went back to the NPC but he didn't have a quest to give me. I also went to Thunderbluff and the original NPC who gave me #6068 didn't have a quest to give me either.

What do I do? I can't tame any hunter pets now.... Is my character completed bugged out?

Check your quest history. You may have to install some addon. I have it in Carbonite. Very helpfull as you can abbandone and then retake quests that dont even show up in your questqueue anymore.
