Saw something disturbing today

I was leveling my character when a red system message appeared, "player x was banned for ninja looting in a 5 men dungon".

Now... I'm all for people respecting other people but banning for ninjalooting =/= blizzlike. Saw poeple banned for poweleveling, boting, goldselling but I never saw/heard in my life a ninjalooter banned by Blizzard. And while I never ninja-ed anything in any game, I can't help to think that this opens up a very dangerous precedent for the future to come since its quite possible that in the future, haters will just mass report that some poor soul ninja-ed dunno what item, after an instance or something.

they need substantial proof for a ninja looting report. ie raid rules started at start of raid, people agreeing to said rules, and then proof of the loot rules being broken. kinda hard to fake all that.

In this case, if a player needs on an item he / she cannot use for main or offspecc just to piss off people or even if its for their enchanting profession, its ninja looting and I coulden't agree more that they should get banned from doin so. I personally get very angry when I go RDF to gear up and some a-hole needs every single peice for his "enchanting".

I was a little worried about this specially because when I lead raids I will not give a leather item to a hunter over a feral druid or rogue since hunters gets 100% int transfered to AP, and all mail items have int, while leather items with AP dosent. Because of this Ive had dussins of people saying "Reported for ninja, expect bann" its the same when it comes to the item "deathbringers will" when I dont give it to a retribution paladin, or "Tiny abomination in a jar" to a DK or Warrior.

Things that looks pretty obvious to some may not be so ovious to others.

May I remind you that its because we had a huge problem with ninja looters that they implented this system, and its made to help you get gear and while retail had alot of ninja reports into an addon to keep ninja looters out of guilds etc, we do not have that in private servers since its free to play, and people just dont care half as much.

"do NOT deface players in public (global channel etc) especially if you have no proof against them. Actions may be taken against players who continue to call others ninjas in public channels."
Also this, if someone has an issue about 1 players spamming bullcrap in global, report them. I had an issue myself when I made a VOA 25man raid, There was another guy making a VOA 25man raid aswell, and to get more people to his raid, he simply stated in global that I was a ninja and people shoulden't join my raid.
I took a printscreen about it and he got banned accordingly.
