I've been asked by two people while leveling with my main on a lowbie if power leveling is illegal here. They asked because they claimed to have seen people banned by powerleveling, yet I've seen every other player with a skull level following their alt around. Can someone define power leveling? I always assumed it was just tagged mobs and having your higher level kill it, but that doesn't seem to be the case... Is it the skull mob bug that people are getting banned for?
If you're level 90 and take your level 10 friend to Uldum to kill level 83 mobs, that's powerleveling.
If you're level 90 and help your level 10 friend in Durotar to kill mobs, that's NOT powerleveling.
no...I think powerlevelling is allowed
as long that lowbies char has its pre requisite level
for example
min level for Outland is lvl 58
min level for Northrend is lvl 68
etc...
(of course if lowbies just playing sight seeing at Dalaran is allowed, as long it doesnt levelling/questing)
Powerleveling is bannable when u are abusing a bug. For example, skull mobs grant too much xp for lowies. When u go with ur lowie in a high level zone and farm mobs together with a high level char then its bannable.
If the xp formula would work blizzlike then powerleveling wouldnt be bannable because no bugs are beeing abused.
