1. Rate of updates

I have the feeling rate of updates slowed to almost once a month which is too rare considering there are still some medium impact issues like (my perspective is PVE) tempest keep last boss can not be killed, there are several issues with dungeons for example Oh Novos! achievement, the spider in Azjol-nerub when attacked before going up to seal the doors doesn't stop the flow of adds and some other problems like those., and then there are some quests even in outland that are very fun but not fixed yet like the race quests in Netherwing which gives an achivement

    Really important issue, sure.

Problem is... When they fix 5 bugs, 10 spells become broken.
It looks like imposible to fully fix private server, not because coders are bad but private server mechanic.

I wish they will focus only at pvp bugs for few weeks, current arena state is autistic.

If the updates are smaller but more frequent this problem with breaking other things while fixing some will be more managable

Can you explain to a complete noob in terms of coding in any shape or form: how fixing a certain spell can make other spells buggy? Why doesn't this happen on retail WoW / other games so much? Is the reason just worse coders?

Most of the times that a spell is bugged a mechanic is involved and not the scripting of the spell itself, so coders many times try to find the bug in the mechanic involed with the spell and fix it. The thing is that this mechanic could work fine with other spells and effects but when they try to tune it to work as intended with other spells that are bugged, a lot of times that can cause the spells that worked well with this particular mechanic to bug.

On the other hand, spells that have been scripted wrong and get fixed dont bug anything else out as far as i know.

P.S. i havent scripted in a private server but know a few things about programming so i dont know if the info is 100% correct but its something like that

    Are you sure ?
How class specific spells fixing could bug unstuck command, for example ?

  7. That's because they switched their focus to MoP and Cata, now that Lordaeron is more or less done and stabilized. But yeah, I haven't played in a while because the lack of staff attention kind of puts me off. There are quite a few bugs I found during leveling alone, reporting and upvoting them all and I'm waiting for results before I actually return.

Yes we are back where we were in pre Lordaeron time with every expansion getting equal attention but none getting enough and nothing is really good everything is on medium level. Well ok we might not be quite there yet but we are close and this might be the main reason why Lord population has been decreasing the last several weeks

mostly PVP players left because 2v2 rating is not valued much per season as i heard
there were a lot of players who came to lordaeron just because its 1x and they started to leave 1 by 1 when they got into heroic modes of naxx
