Point Collection

so I've noticed for a while now that even if I don't log in one day, but have logged in the previous day, I can still collect daily points, example as follows:
I logged off game before midnight server time and had collected my daily points already
the next day I logged on website and have been able to collect my daily points
the error for not being online is "you have not logged in game today"

so is this some sort of bug or does that error need to be changed to "you have not logged in game in the last 24 hours"?
