1. Was the Human starting zone always like this? This seems nuts.

So I'm new to Warmane (but not WoW) and don't remember the Human starting zone being like this (but it's been a long time). I can tank like 7 mobs as a warlock (with imp) and not even bat an eye, all the mobs are neutral, grabbing things like chests or quest objectives (like the grapes in the defias field) only takes like 1 second, and just an overall easiness to everything.

Now, I know this isn't Naxx 40, but was WotLK always that easy? I am one of the Nost refugees so I may be a bit out of touch, to be fair, but I'm curious all the same. Just wondering if I'm nuts or not because I know this server changed 10-man Naxx, and has a cash shop, etc, so I'm wondering if this (things like opening chests so quickly) is just something else they changed.

    Thanks fellas.

  2. In WotLK, it starts off much easier than it did in Vanilla, and the overall experience arc was shortened. It does git a little bit tougher later on, and some areas in particular can pose a challenge. We also have a lot of world mobs that use Vanilla scripts, but I would say that things overall are less difficult than they were "back in the day". Which is where I'd expect you're seeing the discrepancies after becoming a bit used to the Vanilla experience.

That said, yes, Naxx 10 and 25 were buffed somewhat, to add to the challenge. It's since been nerfed from our original changes, but it's still a bit more difficult than the retail WotLK Naxx. As for cash shop, that depends on the realm. Assuming that you're speaking about Lordaeron, the cash shop there is limited -- you can't buy BIS gear, and it is quite expensive in order to discourage people from paying. Seeing people with purchased gear is a fair bit rare, but it exists so the realm brings in just enough income to support its costs.

  3. Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, I remembered that they lessened the amount of required XP to level I think at some point during BC, and again in WotLK (if memory serves) and that it was overall easier, I just didn't remember to what degree. So I'm not totally nuts then, good to know!

  4. Game is pretty much easy, naxx, OS , ToC" did the 10 man verison with green/blued gear players with pieces that dident match their spec and still completed it fully scripted to the last boss" and ICC were all push overs, never did ulduar

only diffacult thing about ICC was a boss, what i prefer to call him, marrragor the pug breaker since the majority of players you will group up in the 10-20x servers are a bunch of gear scoring whores, and if they are fully 25man/ heroic geared they worry more about their dps and completey avoid mechianics, resulting in wipe after wipe. After the first boss its more about waiting untell the raid gets bored and mass quits or if some douche bag went for one single item in 10 man and left, resulting in everyone else leaving. Just remember one thing, gear score is more important than skill here, and if you do wipe blame it on everyone else.

Remember, despite the fact you tanked VoA with 4.4kgs on all the bosses, most raids will require you to have 5.4k+ . and even on the day that icc was released the min GS requirement was 4.6k, now it is 5k-6k, which bascialy means you will need icc gear to even do icc. Hopfully loderan doesent suffer the same fate. Missed the days in where i could actualy raid in warmane without all this bull****.

  5. I keep getting at least 2 potions whenever they drop and like 2,3,4 pieces of wolf meat, etc from mobs; is that a stock drop? Seems odd.

@josh Yeah, hope this server turns out better than that; just got a find a good guild if you want to avoid pugging yourself to death.

Don't worry when you reach raiding you will get your difficulty maybe even more than you would like it to be

By the way, i was expecting more people to come from nost, like to push lordaeron over capacity again, seems i was wrong, wonder why, maybe most of the people went for other vanila servers, i was thinking they would be tired of it and look for a different expansion maybe not

  7. Yeah, most that I've seen have said they'd be going to another Vanilla server (with the vast majority of those saying they were going to ******), but I decided that I actually would rather play WotLK when I really thought about it, and because starting over in Vanilla sounded about as fun as running my genitalia across sand paper while someone dumped fuel on it and lit a match.

    Still love Vanilla though.
