70 healers in wotlk

Back when 70 was more active on Ragnaros I only recall seeing holy paladins and restoration druids in the bracket.
Do discipline priests and restoration shamans have significant sustainability/survival issues at this level in pvp, or was this just a personal choice from those players?

Priest have nice set of pvp true model ones.

Resto shaman is badass aswell.

Priest and Shamans may be good for pure 70 vs 70. When it comes to fighting higher level players you will have a lot of trouble landing your offensive dispells which will make an important part of your kit quite useless.
So it is just the "safer" option to go with a defensive healer.
As a disc priest you will also have a lot of trouble with high geared Warriors, Rogues and DKs. It get even worse when those are lvl 75+, because your allies won't be able to peel in a reliable way due to missed CC abilities.
