Massacre At Light's Point

I'm assuming that lots of people have completed this quest. The question is how? Short of a sadistic, tedious corpse run, I don't see anyway to complete this quest. Once you jump into the cart and make it to the start of the downward slope you get targeted, the miner despawns, and the mobs kill the cart. The non elites are no issue to kill. The elites are a whole different story though. If anyone has any suggestions or help please let me know.

easy, just mount your mount and go. you can do that with one dead :P at the beach use canon and kill them all
