WotLK Arena Flush

Hi guys,

I was just wondering if you need to play 10 games or WIN 10 games in order to get the arena points? My friend and I didn't get arena points (I was 7-6 score and he was 8-3) and both of us didn't get the arena points. Everyone tells me that you don't need to win 10 games, just play them, but it doesn't seem to be the case.

I'm hoping someone will provide me with explanation on why this is happening.
