I got banned for no reason.

I have a problem. Today I tried to log into my account, to Wrath of Lich King realm. I found out that I was banned. I visited Warmane website to find that I was banned for advertising. Finally, I checked the time it was logged in from my account, it was at night time, when I was asleep, from France. Just to let you know, I did not share information about my account, nor was in game at that moment and most of all, I have never been to France and never left my country, Lithuania. I suspect I was hacked, no idea by who and how, which led to this temporary ban.

I am a player who first came to this server when it was still named Molten. I believe I am in this realm for 5 years, I was not active with other people, nor I was active in forums. However, there were times when I played every day, for almost a year. Played without donating, only voting, had a character before all data wipe which I spend more than 50 days in game, (info from /played), in my favorite realm, Lordaeron, the Lordaeron before the new Lordaeron. So, you should know what it should feel like to lose that much of work. But that doesn't matter, I lost my character names, more than 100 days worth of gathered achievements on a lot of different characters on this server, which was precious time for me and I worked hard on it, mostly alone.

I am quitting this server. Just to let you know, characters that advertise are not always controlled by their main owners.

You are still responsible for anything that happens with your account, since the only way someone would have to get your login information is from you - be it because you gave it to them or because your care with security was too low and they stole it from you. The fact it was someone else doing it doesn't erases the fact it only happened because you, one way or another, allowed it to happen, so yes, the account was banned with a reason.

You could still try a ban appeal if you like.
