If it downloaded the retail version it won't login here anymore. You have to either re-download the client or try to downgrade (not sure if its currently possible). Otherwise, there is no problem known.

just happen to me. first time trying, just finished downloading the torrent per your link. logged into WotLK in hopes to pick a server (couldnt seem to do so on website.) Verified the realm setting. logged in with my account info and it instantly rebooted and started "updating" Assumed it was something you were pushing out. now i have Cata.
