Prot PvP

Greetings, so I just wandered in here about an hour ago and had some questions.

Many may remember me as Xytan, the creator of the Prot PvP Q/A thread back on the Molten Forums. Glancing over these forums, it has occurred to me that there is a strong affinity for Prot PvP, but much dissatisfaction over issues with Shield Block Value caps, etc.

Could anyone please fill me in on the current viability of Prot PvP (3.3.5, unless Cata is better? Unlikely) here and perhaps discuss with me some issues that you are currently trying to overcome? Additionally, if Warrior Prot PvP is non-viable, what of Prot Paladins?

As a disclaimer, this is in no way intended to start a flame war or a whiny murloc fest over what I presume to be a controversial topic. I just want some information on the communities feelings regarding the viability of a specific playstyle.

Unless the block val bug was fixed then prot pvp is not fun/viable unless you're rocking a full resil prot in a wls comp. Back when everything worked fine, prot is pretty good. Go with a double dps in 2s(or with a healer on blackrock) and mch in 3s.
