WotLK Wondering Plague And Reaping Talent Controversy

Hello,

I've been playing for a long time on cata as an UH DK and what I can't really understand is the fact that many UH DKs in WotLK spec into "Wandering Plague" instead of "Reaping".

On the other hand, I've seen some DKs spec into Reaping (like myself), but I would say they are minority.
Any explanation for this? Why is having one extra tick better than having 2 extra runes (which could be used for million and one things)?

I get it that it might be better in BGs, but why in arenas? I see some top 2s ranked DKs in WotLK rocking wandering plague. Like what the f...? Please enlighten me.

Thats something I wonder myself. I dont know to be honest, but that gives you an edge over them. :p

Wandering plague grants a massive dmg boost in large scale battles. I would say its mandatory to spec into it if u want to top the dmg charts in a bg because spreaded diseases is there usually ur main dmg source.

Ppl who use wandering plague in arena either have their focus on BGs/wpvp and they dont want to use a separated spec just for arena or they are noobs.

Wandering plague is reduced by resi, both the damage and the proc chance.
