1. Zandalari Warbringer Drop

I just have a question about the drop chance of http://www.wowhead.com/item=94230/re...rdial-direhorn from mob http://www.wowhead.com/npc=69841/zandalari-warbringer , which is: Is it ok the drop chance in the server atm? Because I've killed him 25 times and yet no drop whatsoever.

P.S. To add, a friend of mine has killed him 18 times, and no drop either.

Are you supposed got get a mount thats a 5% drop within only 25 kills? Its not healthy to be so greedy.

  3. Are you supposed got get a mount thats a 5% drop within only 25 kills? Its not healthy to be so greedy.
    5% = 5/100 = 1/20

    Got it?

Besides, I'm not saying it's bug, I'm ASKING.

    P.S. 26 times now.

  4. Percentage doesn't work that way in WoW. Just because something has a drop chance of 5% it doesn't mean it will drop all 5% of kills. I got my mount on the first kill - a lucky day guess. After that I helped my friend farm one and we killed 50-60 Warbringers with no drop (he still farms them from time to time and still didn't get a drop). If you really want one just continue and maybe you will get lucky.

That does not mean you have a guaranteed chance to get it after X number of kills. Each kill has a 5% drop chance so you have to keep trying till you get lucky.

  6. Try using a potion of luck before loot.

  7. As for me from my first tries I got two colors and just finished the three mounts last few days, its not bugged but you gotta try a few times since you need luck.

  8. That does not mean you have a guaranteed chance to get it after X number of kills. Each kill has a 5% drop chance so you have to keep trying till you get lucky.
And where did I say that it was a guarantee? I'm only talking about maths. And again, I'm just ASKING if the drop chance is correct, nothing more.

P.S. I finally caught it at 27th time, but it doesn't confirm nor deny the proper drop chance --which is the reason of the post.

    P.P.S.
Try using a potion of luck before loot.
Interesting tip... assuming of course that it works properly too XD

  9. Try using a potion of luck before loot.
This doesn't help, The potion of luck doesn't increase drop rates it only causes mobs to drop Plundered Treasure

  10. well try to tag all 5 of them in series u ll get a mount. I got mine in 7th kill luckly and now have 2 of them after 20+ kills stopped farming coz some hunts do some inappropriate stuffs to get them so I gave up farming.

  11. I farmed around 2 months zandalari until mount finally dropped. :) (daily killed around 3-4 zandalari maybe more)
You can easily do it alone so you get better chance to get mount.

  12. Are the spawn timers the same as retail?

  13. their respawn time is around 8 hours but sometimes they spawn earlier...
also they can spawn 2 in same time in same place

  14. WoW drop chances and the chance for a specific item to drop:

If your mount has a 1% chance of dropping, it will always be 1% on every single attempt. The Gambler's Fallacy trap that many fall into is assuming that previous results will change future results -- or put in WoW terms, "I've run this 50 times, so it must be really likely to drop now!" And it really feels like it should be that way. But it's not any more likely on the 50th kill or the 500th kill, it's still 1%. Every. Single. Time.
    basically meaning...
100 runs on a 1% mount is NOT a 100% chance to drop, it's more like a "63.4% chance that the mount would have dropped by now"
250 runs on a 1% mount is a "91.9% chance that the mount would've dropped by now"
1000 runs on a 1% mount is a "99.995% chance that the mount would have dropped by now"

in your specific case, this means in your 26 runs, you have had a statistically significant 73.6% chance that the item would have dropped for you, or in better terms...
if 100 players killed the mob 26 times each, 73 or 74 would have gotten the mount by now, some earlier, some on their last few kills

to have a healthy 99% chance of getting that mount (yes 99, there is no such thing as 100%) you will need to kill that mob up to 90 times

a very unlucky person, at a 5% drop chance, might get that mount on their 330th kill or so when the odds of not getting it by then are something like 1.000.000 to 1 (or in other words, if a million people killed that mob 330 times, only one person would NOT have the mount in that time)

    the math:
    1 - ( ( 1 - x ) ^ y ) where X is chance and Y is number of runs you do, have fun
