Technical Saying I need to patch when I log in.

Alright so basically sorry if this is in the wrong section/sub-section. I'm completely new to WoW, my friend told me to get it and he directed me to this private server. I download the Lich King client and I torrent it, all is going buttery at this point. After it has completed, I opened the containing folder and then I ran the WoW.exe as administrator, it opened up. Got to the login screen, all going nicely. I put in my login details, it logs me in but just before I hit the char screen I presume, it says 'Downloading Update' to 100%. Once it gets to 100% which only takes a matter of seconds, it brings me up another little menu. It says;

'Patch Required

Press the restart button below to exit World of Warcraft and download the patch.' So when I click restart, it boots me off and this little guy appears in my folder and automatically opens up.;


At the time I thought I had to do that and it was a mandatory thing to do. So I download this patch, all goes well. I think I'm all good to go and then when I go to the WoW.exe and run it as an admin, I get a little error messages saying this;



After that and looking at lot's of technical issue threads with this same problem it's still persisting. I've turned off my antivirus and firewall, ran wow.exe again and still the same outcome. I've done two in-depth scans with malwarebytes on my pc and nothing has been detected. I was made aware by my friend that I could simple torrent it, click WoW.exe and able to log in straight away and play.

It can't be something I've done wrong because I've re-downloaded this torrent 3 times now and all I do is open the folder when it's finish torrenting, run wow as admin and then it takes me in, then you know the rest from there..

Log in with username not email. It does not have to update.

Thank you that worked. However, when I finish creating my char and finalize it prompts me with; 'Error creating character'

If you are trying to use wotlk client with WoD models you can not use some hair styles and things like that when creating character. You can later change it in game to what you want.
