Friend list issue

Hello fellow lordaeron players, I am having issues with my friend list. Whenever I open my friend list for the first time, it is completely empty. When I open it again it is no longer empty, but the names in friend list are populated in random order (for example, online friends are not on the top, but spreaded across the friend list randomly). I found out that removing 1 of my friends from the list fixes the issue temporarely (for seconds). After that I have to remove more friends to get it fixed. I noticed I have some "Uknown" character on my list of friends, which I figured could be the cause of all this mess, but I cannot remove it from the list. Has anyone experienced this problem? Is there any fix?

Try completely deleting your friend list

Try typing /reload whenever you see unknown players

If you are using AH scan addons like Auctionator, they are known to throttle your future requests to the server for player names item names or tooltips and so on. At least for me i know its the scan function of the addon that causes the issue but it goes away after like 10 minutes...

Also have you recently cleared/deleted your Cache folder? that would be another cause!

Thank you for your replies everyone. Nothing seems to help. What I've tried so far:

1. Disabling all addons
2. Deleting wtf folder
3. Deleting all of my friend list

Another interesting thing worth mentioning. My alt character doesnt have this issue, even though it has completely the same configuration and addons. Im quite certain that it is that "unknown" in the friend list that is causing it, but I cant seem to find any way to remove it. Looking for more suggestions, thanks for help!

i had this problem before only faction change fixed it.
