Did you know that password is NOT case sensitive?
Also, its not possible to use symbols like @#$%#%&^$&& etc
This blows my mind.
Is there any chance to improve this?

Hmm, I never noticed that about case sensitive, but I clearly remember using symbols in my password in Molten days. It made me feel so safe. Different symbol(!@#$%...) for each service I use and its wp against data miners. I'm using letters/numbers now, but its just not the same for me at least.
