Forum Account deleted?

I have an old account (i played in Warmane a lot), and i wanted to play again after like one and a half year, so i tried to log in, but i couldn't remember my username.
The account was created in Arena-tournament, so it wasn't a gmail account.
I checked all my e-mails, and i got the username, but when i tried to log in, it said that it does not exist. I can even create a new account with that username.
Does that mean that my account has ben deleted fully? Can it be recovered somehow?

if you played here on Molten/Warmane after Fabrary 2015 then your account is still there.
"The account was created in Arena-tournament, so it wasn't a gmail account." Wrong, to be able to merge you had to active a Molten/Warmane account so you must have used gmail for sure.

do this:
1. if you still have your WoW client you should go into WTF > Account, now you see a list of your accounts and check which one has inside the folder called "Blackrock" or "warsong" ( the old AT realms), once you find these folders then that is the username you used here.

2. If you do not have your old WoW client then you can check on the armory if your characters still exist.
this is the url: http://armory.warmane.com/character/XXX/Blackrock/ (change XXX with character's name)

if thye exist maybe you can ask to same gm if they can tell you the email or the username linked to those characters ( I can not guarantee if they can do it)

3. If you was playing on AT Wotlk/Blackrock then it is not a big deal because they recently resetted everything. Your characters would be naked with no titles and no PvP achievement so if you start with a new account it would be the same

Unfortunatly i have reinstalled all my wow expansions many times, so do not have the information in the WTF folder.
I played in warmane, in the "Ragnaros" realm. I do remember some character names, but in armory i cannot find them. I wasnt here when we had to merge the characters, when ragnaros and the other realm merged. Did they delete the characters?

Ragnaros and Deathwing realms have been merged into one realm, the name is Icecrown; your character should be there ( or maybe you have to transfer them manually, i do not know really)
