Cannot Create New Characters

Is anyone else having this issue? I have tried and tried and keep getting "Error Creating Character" or "Name Unavailable". One name in particular I know is available and I still cannot create one.

First error is related to new client, trying to create a character with model (eg. hairstyle) that doesn't exist on ("old") wotlk, second is as it says, a name that can not be used.
