If you think about it these items are meant to be obtained by working hard in game. This means that you need to go and learn ICC and TOC tactics, become a better player and work for your character development. Now what many people do is simply spam bg and vote for trincket and weapons. This way players that actually spend more time and efford will be rewarded for it. Furthermore, if you have played PVE and have a good knowledge about it you will know how increadably high the gs req are for ICC. Some people look for higher gs members than the ins actually provides. This is ridiculus, but this is what happens when we all have the Lich King 25 gear. One more thing, many people just leave raids after one wipe or something, if they can't get good gear from the website you will see how they prefer to try hard and get as far as possible instead of b*****ing all the time and go afk.

such question for Protorean, if i have 3 bis chars on 1 account have 5k+ achievs and get 1.2 vote per day, you turn off ability to buy mounts or pets for example, what should i vote or click (call as you want) for? also one of moderators told about developers working hard to make server better (in which opinion it becomes better?) you may ask Agromon about my topic on russian section about what is really done for pvp for example when "TOP" pvp guild on server get top on arena by using PQR and noGCD and you make nothing with it, spells works not properly but you main purpose is to make PVE content only??? if so make it like retail cause playing for 5 years here nothing is changed except trying to get more money from ppl, but as for now i don't understand directly for what i payed tons of USD

Oh i have nice answer for u m8 u and i had donate here for see they fixing one thing and gets another bugged.. A really nice example is Neltharion! I can make the hardest cata encounter in DS Hc (Spine, in my opinion), hitting the keyboard with my head and with my vision blinded :/ They want always the best server and where the logic of firelands to be more difficult to complete than DS? And for the guy who created this topic, i just have only one thing to say. Try to go pvp after becoming 80 with no good gear and another new random player donates 500€/$ and become well geared and 1 shots u.. oh u will feel so great about ur development ;) Is that ****ing good to this server? Im sorry for bad language but most of people here have brain but dont use it at all

Imo the 264/271 gear should have never been implented, but now that everyone and their moms got their trinkets, closing won't help the bigger picture anymore, only screw with the 0.1% unlucky guys who either joined late or got to 28 points when it got removed.

The idea is great and all but the implementation is way too quick.
I vote changes to be done at end of the month, It's just next week.
And please make an announcement ingame like with the gold squish announcement alot of my guildies don't even know it's happening!

Honestly this change is horrible. You talk about health of the server, and forcing end game content on those not interested. It would be one thing if every other 80 wasn't BiS, that just isn't the case, and now this change is just broadening that gap between the established and the newcomers. Personally I have two 80's at 5.6 GS and using donor weps/VP trinkets, this just took away my enthusiasm to roll a 3rd toon, when that is pretty much the reason I chose this server. Easy leveling and progression, casual in other words. You know, the ONLY reason icecrown has such a population as compared to lord.

If they feel that people are getting items from pts too fast then increase the prices, as someone that loves to raid I think they're way too cheap. Make it 1 item per 2-3 months to get a 264ilevel item. Removing them entirely is not the solution IMO it would just make the new players become underdog because the old ones have already benefit from the old store. If they increase the prices at least the new players can get them still but in a more slower pace. BG will now be a mess thanks to this as low geared players would just grind honor pt gears to get items instead of PVE to increase their stupid "gearscore".
Plus the fact that this was done in a hurry and not even ask for what the Icecrown community thinks makes it even worse. 20th - 23rd. . . Are you serious? A change that affects ALL players in a realm and that implemented that quickly? You're stealing 50% of my gold this coming January, okay fine I still got time, you guys nerf the rep/weap/prof skill gain okay fine some decent time was given for us BUT this change? Why are you in a hurry?
Staffs are not even caring on what their highest populated realm community thinks and just pop out "We made a decision in just 1 night" so it's a great one.
They didn't even bother getting some suggestions on the community on what to do on the store. Like removing SOME specific but not all 264&above items that should be raided instead (all LK/Halion drops) or like what I suggested earlier in my post to increase their prices x2 or x3. They're like "We don't care what Icecrown players thinks about this and lets do it!"
What's even worse is that when I yelled in Dalaran about the changes if what do they think about it. People were whispering me "what", "wait what", "stop joking", "link pls", etc. Yeah . . . big change no announcement, why is it a big change? well duh because it affects ALL Icecrown players donors/f2p alike.Edited: October 22, 2016

The reason for the recent changes (not only the vote shop) is simple - they want people to come back to Lordaeron.
I don't understand it at all - I think that majority of us came to Ragnaros and then Icecrown because these were supposed to be fun servers and many here are casual players, so why don't you keep Icecrown a fun server and Lordaeron the hardcore one? Now we're going to have a hardcore and neither fun nor hardcore server.

Me & all my friends were playing lordaeron , but it was too hardcore for us, those buffed up raids.. Then after merger we started with IceCrown, IMHO, it is(was) the perfect server for us,many of friends have even donated after joining IceCrown and we have decided never to go back to lordaeron.
We cant complain about the Vote point shop as it was a gift system and people giving gifts can stop anytime they want.

It's obvious that we cant change their opinion.Warmane can do whatever they want.They were quite salty to us but I understand both sides.Our problem is that we gave out mounts,cool pets etc. for the 264 ilvl items.Now we are getting (probably) toc 10 n items.This would be healthy only if there weren't already so many bis characters in bg.I had to farm furious mostly with eot because i was getting shoted by a random donator (or someone who played a lot ofc).Also about the thing the we can obtain the gear through raiding lets me say this:If a dbw drops in a pug raid its pretty much RO cuz everyone starts complaining on why someone else received it.Other items(except Halion drops) are possible to get even without a guild so I cant say anything here.Most of of community wont like this change but if they think that this server needs to be more like lordaeron we have to accept it.I don't care if they do it for money,more players playing pve or making their biggest server "fair" with others expansions.What really grinds my gear it's that this "reward system" aka vote shop would probably become useless.
