*As a disclaimer, this intention of this thread is not to bash Warmane staff or their decision making, but instead it seeks some clarification as to the nature of said decisions*
If you haven't seen the news subforum or checked the point shop in the past couple hours - the 264 - 271 items have been removed and the shop has been reverted back to the previous shop where the highest iLvls are 239
Whether or not this is a negative change is subjective, however, the community has no information about the change. I was wondering whether it was a bug/unintentional change or if it was intentional.
It certainly isn't information I'm entitled to, but if the change was intentional, I'm sure I'm not the only one that is interested as to why the staff decided to implement this change, and why it was implemented so suddenly. It was a tad surprising.
It's intentional. Announced on the website. We're also delaying it for a few days. The shop on Icecrown was brought more in line with what is available on Neltharion and Frostwolf.
It's intentional. Unannounced, unfortunately. The shop on Icecrown was brought more in line with what is available on Neltharion and Frostwolf.
GM put 264 items in store and tell players Vote can buy it. players Vote everyday to get points. Now GM remove 264 items without notify, means players been Cheated!!!
are we to expect more swift decision making of this type in the future?
Honestly, no. It was only swift in it's execution, but it's a thing that has been in the back of our heads for a while. Icecrown players basically had access to nearly the best gear without doing much and this was unfair to the players of Neltharion and Frostwolf who have considerably less quality offerings at their disposal.
In addition, we really don't want some of the items that are popular in-game to lose their value because some players are able to spend 1 second of their time per day to obtain something that is significantly harder in-game.

it's not the fact that the 264 and 271 items are gone that disturbs the players, it's the fact that none of this was communicated with the community before it's inception.
may i remind you that this is the kind of abruptness we got out of molt-down
the new VP system had us sacrifice generic mounts, pets, legacy gear etc... the only thing dangling in front of us was the newly promised gear which the GM themselves said would take years to get an entire set. and now it's gone poof like those promises never existed.
so speaking of fairness, was that really fair to the players of old Ragnaros and Deathwing
We ain't mad because items are being changed on Vote Point shop. We mad because there was NO, ABSOLUTELY NO alerts / warning made before hand. I don't even have to say how f***ed (there is no better word to describe this situation besides this word honestly.) up that is. Some people have been LITERALLY voting for at least a month (considering you are getting a point per day) wishing to get this piece of item from ICC 25 NM. And on the last day, you log in, vote, go to the store, and see furious gladiator items.
Damn. That's so messed up. Yeah you are right. It was meant to be a "gift" system. It's all yours and your merciful action.
However, what you are doing is basically this :
Santa Claus gave out gifts for children one day. Then the next day, he took it away and gave them some garbage instead. Yeah, it's you who have done the generous act, but why is there a need to reverse the generous actions after doing something generous.
Not trying to hate, but the server has a cash shop yet your speaking of devaluing items? half the server runs around with shadowmorn they bought and can STILL buy.
