Cant decide between Lordaeron or Icecrown...help please

I really dont want to level 1-80 at x1......but I also dont want to level at x7.....Can you change your XP rate? For example will I be able to go from x7 to say, x3?

What are people's opinions on someone new to Warmane? I am agonizing over which server to pick. I am going to be playing a hunter (not that that probably makes any sort of difference)

Hey, nah you can't change the x7 to x3.
I'd personally say (biased obviously), pick Lordaeron. I will give several reasons for this.
1.In Icecrown there are queues during peak times when the cap of 12 k is reached. I don't think you want to sit in a 2 hour queue to log in.
2.You will feel your character is worth more on Lordaeron cos you've actually put some time and effort into it and it doesn't feel like some random piece of crap.
3.You won't get rekt by 7k full bis lolmournes at every turn in Lordaeron, cos there are no op donors like there are in Icecrown.
4.Lvling in wotlk is not that slow.

if you want to level slowly with no rdf and then have buffed raids once you hit 80 play on lord.

if you want to level fast with rdf enabled and non buffed raids play icecrown. queue is easily avoidable by a 1 time donation of 10 bucks (depending on curencry conversion)

Good choice my friend, plus as you said you'll be playing a Hunter, so leveling will be going pretty fast, hunts with locks are one of the fastest leveling classes.
