WotLK Can't log into character after name change

Anyone have any issues with this? I sent in a ticket to see if they can help but was curious if someone has had this issue and knows a quick fix? Basically I used vote points to rename my character. After the rename was successful I tried to log in with that character. It loads to 100% then kicks me back to the character selection screen and states "Login Failed". I've tried fully relogging, refreshing the cache and disabling all addons to no avail.

I have the same thing with race change. I'm also waiting for a fix...
