1. My Doubts on Windows 10

I'll have to be honest, i'm too lazy to search through several areas in the forums to find a question like this, so i'll just go ahead and describe my situation.

I just bought a new laptop with an OS that's Windows 10. I'm planning to transfer my WoW files from my desktop to the laptop. However, when my friend upgraded to Windows 10, he couldn't run his WoW (also from the Warmane site) properly anymore and had to get rid of it. I'm just concerned that there's a possibility that the WoW client from this site won't be compatible with Windows 10. So i'm unsure if it's safe to get it or not.

If anyone would kindly enlighten me, it would be very appreciated! Have a great day! :)

  2. Been using Win10 since it was released, never had any issues with any of the expansions here.

WoW works fine on Windows 10.

  3. And if there is any issue, Warmane has a big community, issues that you have, it's pretty certain other players around here have had the same problem, so, there's always a workaround for these kinds of issues.

I've upgraded couple of months ago, and played every expansion on Windows 10 perfectly.

  4. This issue generates hundreds of ideas as to why it could be failing to play properly, and unfortunately w10 doesn't ring a bell as being the issue.

How about I go over the first reason that pops up in my head, that somewhat includes the operating system (Not Windows 10's fault, so the OS is not the issue. If this theory is right it would be a hardware limitation, not software)

What windows OS was the laptop designed for? A lot of people went ahead and upgraded to 10 from as low as Windows 7 as soon as possible. It could be that issue itself.

For example, the laptop I am currently using came with Windows 10. I said to myself, "Oh great, another ***** that upgraded an older machine just to up his price on his kijiji ad".

Everything worked "perfect" until I realized the network adapter would keep cutting in and out, as well as the headphone jack. it was as if both of them were external USB and kept "disconnecting" on me. Took me hours, reinstalling different windows OS' until I made it down to w7 where ALL the drivers worked perfectly.

On windows 8, everything worked except I had no internet whatesoever, and the laptop didn't know what my GPU was. (Which is ancient, Windows XP would know what my GPU is)

I love laptops and have gamed on them for over 15 years.

  5. Some older games (which I still personally play) don't work well in new windows though. Take a look at Red Alert 2 for example. If you can alt-tab that game on its' original state without crashing it in Windows 8 and beyond, kudos to your computer
