Idk why I'm the only one who does this but I've ditched the monitor scene and bought a 32" LED TV with hdmi ports for around $130USD and I run wow at High 1080p settings and get a locked 59fps. Also using a GeForce GT420 2GB gpu(which is outdated by about 4-6 years). So if you're looking into sync and all that then yea go with a gaming monitor but they are very pricey!
But otherwise I suggest just using a decent but cheap LED TV with HDMI(better quality picture) or VGA connectivity.
