Pandaria How is PvP? (Mainly BG's and non-competitve arenas)

Hello all, I'm thinking about switching to MoP for PvP mainly. How is the PvP scene on the MoP server? I'm talking mainly about Battlegrounds and non-competitive 2vs2 arenas. I notice that the population of MoP is substantially lower than Icecrown/Lordaeron, which I'm planning know moving from. Do BG's pop often? Or will I be stuck in Quene for a good 7-10mins? Is everyone in BiS PvP and rofl-stomping newbies? Thanks all.

PvP is quite active on Frostwolf. Probaby even more active than PvE.
BGs pop at any time of the day. On horde side they pop instantly while alliance has to wait a bit in queue.
There are some ppl in BiS gear but there are more average and low geared players.
Gear gap between newcomers and full pridefull geared players is huge, even more huge than on Wotlk, but on the other hand its also easy to get a full BiS set on MoP.

Hey Jakkre, thanks for the insightful reply! Can you elaborate on what you mean by easy to get full BiS? Compared to getting Wrathful on WOTLK I guess.

Yeah its easier on MoP to get a full Bis gear than on wotlk because u dont need any pve gear for pvp.
Also the prideful gear doesn't require any arena rating. U can even get the whole set by farming BGs and doing no Arena at all.
