Healing in 2s (give your opinion!)

I want to make a constructive discussion about healing in 2's, so don't be rude and don't flame please

Does MW monk are viable for 2's?
I'm playing this class to push rating here and I'm having trouble to break the 2k wall (first time for me, in others expansion I easily get a good rating as healer)

In top100 I have seen only 2 high-ranked monks and also they are undead and night elf. Does the racial can make the difference?
I'm playing human at the moment and cc chains are so lethal.

I appreciate any kind of suggestion/tip or anything about MW and healing in general in 2's and best setup.

I haven't played MW myself but I do know that they are viable to get high rated with. Don't get me wrong, they aren't top healers like holy priests and resto druids/shams but still a good pick and you can deff get rank 1 with it if you know what you do and play with good partners.

As racial goes, then it really doesn't matter. Maybe night elf might be a bit better but I'm not sure since I haven't played MW monk before. But I do know that you can get high rated as a human as well.

Right now, the dominating meta is Mistweaver Monk/Unholy Deathknight, it's a really good comp for 2s if you're interested in pushing rating, another very viable option would be MW/Awarrior.
As for Mistweaver in general as a healer in 2s, it's certainly not as good as shamans, but shamans often need peels as opposed to Monks that could survive solo for a much longer time with kiting/porting/cc and such.

So word of advice, keep practicing and play with some decent warrior/deathknight to get the full potential out of your monk, and Good luck buddy ^^
