new player with some ???

i was recommended by a friend, looking forward to playing this server. im downloading through bittorrent but its a bit slow is this common? or i just got ****ty internet connection.

It could be just you or just not that many seeders at the time. To be fair though I have very fast internet speed and it took me about 30 minutes. Also it IS a big file. Thinks like this just 10 years ago took like 2 overnights to download.
