1. Strenght vs Arp in progression gear FROST

    My Frost DK has 5.3k gs, I gemmed every red and blues with ARP, but some guildies are saying that strength is always going to be better since it gives atkp and scales with some talents, and also as a low gear, they argue that I don't have enough damage to deal even when it's penetrating defense.

    Without buffs, I get 5k DPS. In ICC 10, I get around 9.5k damage depending on the team comp.
    16% of the damage is frost and 20% is shadow. So, 64% is physical.

    I couldn't find any math about strength vs Arp, and would like to not waste 4k gold just to test and have the chance to re-gem back.
    Any knowledge to share about this?

  2. Depends largely on the trinkets you have and how well you can boost your procs with additional cds.

    For example, if you would manage to get +-650 - 700 arp from gear and gems and you have something like scorpi trink (arp proc) that will put you briefly near arp cap. If you can sync it with UA + engi gloves, then you can proly do bigger numbers.

    But in general I wouldn't gem arp before 700 from gear alon as str is safer and scales with buffs.

  3. Go STR. When you're closer to end-game gear, then switch to ArP.
