Reforging the sword BUG

I'm currently trying to finish the reforging the sword quest for the battered hilt. This quest includes going to the pit of saron, collecting 5 infused saronite bars, and LOOTING the forgemasters hammer. Now, I currently have 5 Infused saronite bars. and have killed the forgemaster 3 times with such. The hammer does not drop. I tried abandoning the quest and going back again, and it still did not drop. I'm not sure what to do. one of the last times 2 people in my group looted it and i did not. So many things are broken on this server. I try to ignore them, but this one bothers the hell out of me.

I'm sure someone must have looted it before u. It worked fine for me. I got it the first time itself. No point abandoning the quest
