1. You change your client settings but they don't stay that way?

I don't know if it was mentioned in some threads before, delete this topic if it was answered in some other.

So if you have problems with the Warmane client (no idea if it happens with all clients or just this one) not saving your settings and looking abominable every time you open your game again - do this:

Close the game, no matter what settings you have they will get deleted.
Go to your TBC folder and rename these folders to whatever - WTF, Data and Cache. (I renamed mine to 1, 2, 3)
Keep the renamed folders in your TBC folder it doesn't really matter if they stay there forever.
Open your game and change some settings like resolution then close and check if it worked, but it should work every time.

That's it, no idea if you have to rename all three or just one of them but doesn't really matter since they all get remade after you launch the game.

  2. I was about to make a post on this exact same topic.
It's really annoying that settings aren't saving at all...

  3. This happens because the config file is read only.
To avoid the issue you need to right click on the wow folder -> Properties and uncheck read-only. Make sure the folder is not being used at the time (Stop seeding it in your torrent engine and make sure wow is not running)
