1. The 1% Problem

While TBC is praised for its PvP and hard raids, there is one thing that a lot of PvPers and PvErs alike will probably agree on made this expansion lame:
    The 1% constant miss chance.
It gimps people in PvE and it can in some cases decide the outcome of an arena match by stepping in to make that Blind or Cyclone miss.
Wotlk fixed this problem by allowing people to hit cap up to make sure misses would not occur (before talents, racials etc).
My question is: Will we be stuck with the 1% miss chance like in the good old days or will it be tuned so it can be capped over by getting 1% additional hit chance?

  2. You will be playing Burning Crusade, not Wrath of the Lich King.

  3. You will be playing Burning Crusade, not Wrath of the Lich King.
Correct. But this is one of the very few things people always complained about and which is why it was adjusted in Wotlk. It never made much sense to have a constant 1% RNG chance to mess things up, be it for PvE or PvP.
Don't get me wrong, I am one of those who thinks TBC should be TBC. But this feature reeks of hate, not joy.

  4. And they added randomness back in later expansions.

You must never have played anything at all with any sort of concept of "critical failure" if you believe everyone, no matter "how good," still having a chance of failing makes no sense. Either way, as I said, people playing on this server should expect to play Burning Legion, not things that were "adjusted" or added later. Even more so on things relating to combat mechanics.

  6. It is possible that you do nothing wrong and still loose. let tbc be tbc

  7. But this feature reeks of hate, not joy.
And this sentiment reeks of hyperbole. Just be happy you get to play TBC at all and thank Warmane for doing this service. Report bugs, but any QQ over the expansion being any closer to retail is disingenuous.

  8. RustCohle I am more than happy of being able to play TBC again but on Warmane. But I have been around other TBC realms and seen most problems that occur. The 1% miss chance is just one of em. Flaming me just for pointing problems out and just asking if this perticular problem will be there or not is just hitting below the belt.
But perhaps it is best for you all to experience what happens when some things don't change. *Cough* Negative damage, Moving Petrification statues, reversed skull of D, permanent poultryzer etc *Cough*

  9. when i play halo 1, i woosh jump, when i play halo 2 i double bounce. These games would not be the same without them.

  10. RustCohle ... Flaming me just for pointing problems out and just asking if this perticular problem will be there or not is just hitting below the belt.
    More hyperbole. Pls just stahp.

  12. Correct. But this is one of the very few things people always complained about and which is why it was adjusted in Wotlk.

  13. You will be playing Burning Crusade, not Wrath of the Lich King.
As will you, and I hope you enjoy having me dance on your grave. For since this seems to be the mentality, I trust there will be no complaining when every major unfixed flaw of TBC is being exploited.

  14. Okay Okay, this has to stop. Why are you all so pent up on this. TBC was not perfect and it never will. There is nothing wrong with doing some QOL changes to make it better. Things change over time and it is important that they stay in the past.

I approve to remove this random chance, it has no other benefit than it just being there for the sake of being there. Same thing for custom dualspec, it is a needed change.

Why do you all wanna pull a carriage when you can get a horse to pull it up for you. Nostalgia can only get you so far. There are mechanics or lack there of, that are frustrating and need to be updated.

  15. Removing the 1% miss chance isn't a QOL change in the same way dual spec is. It's a change to gameplay and mechanics.
