need help with authenticator

Hi there. So I've been on warmane for few years now. Played every expansion etc yada yada no1 cares about that.
I just returned to warmane after like a year because i saw they are releasing tbc realm(got hyped). I downloaded tbc client from the site (logon is correct and everything) I start the game up in hope to test out PTR realm, type my username and pw and boom blizzard authenticator code required. Hmmm ookay I go and check my mail and there is a mail from warmane with the code. Type it in .... wrong. Try again wrong. Ok maybe Im ******ed and i misstype it. After like 10 tries aaand its wrong again. No idea what im doing wrong. Any help appreciated.
