My friend has decided to come back to WoW and he was distraught to have lost his characters. I told him that he should have had all his coins and vote points restored and he should have had plenty of instant level-ups and profession boosts to get him back into the game. He says that when he goes to the site and goes to services - coins - character level up and profession upgrade, both require coins that he doesn't have. He also doesn't have the 300+ vote points he was supposed to have from when he lost his account.What can we do to mitigate the damage?
Everything we can, such as refunding 100% of coins ever donated back to community accounts, instant level-ups, starting gear, boosts etc. We are working to come up with a refund and boost system help us to mitigate the damage, and later today, open forums for feedback, backlash and answers to any discussions.
How does he go about restoring the account as we all got to do? I can't find it on the forums anywhere.

I think your friend is 1 year too late :( , the molt-down help services were done like half a year after the servers got back up. That's when the grace period was for recovering and getting support for lost characters.
But then again, i could be wrong.
