WotLK Where is my account ?

Last time I played WOW 3.3.5 was 2 years ago, on Molten. I had spent more than 300 euros on this server and I was very content with my chars and my account at all. However, here I'm again, 2 years later, on what used to be the Molten, but my account does not exist anymore, and all the items that I bought with the money is also gone. My questions are: what happened with my account ? What about all the money that I spent on Molten ?
