After about 10 or so minutes of playing or being in queue for Icecrown realm the computer starts slowing down to a complete freeze and I can't understand why. My guess is a memory leak, I've searched around some and only found posts from years and years back, surely it has been fixed by then?
I'm maxed out on the graphics settings and it runs smooth up until 10 minute mark, then I have to hard reset my computer.
I have stock content, no upgraded models or anything, it is the latest WOTLK client with WoD models.
I'm going to make an attempt with the old client and see if it works.
Another issue I have is that none of my game settings are ever saved, I have to read the EULA every time I start the client as well.
Any ideas?
I'm new to the whole private server stuff, so I might be missing something.
This is on a PC with hardware from 2-ish years back, GTX 970, Intel i5 4690K etc.
EDIT:
SOLVED
The freezing was caused by a windows 10 update (fall creators update) that has memory leak issues. Went back to an earlier build and now it runs great!
after 10 minutes it freeze just the game or your whole PC?
Try to disable all of your addons, does it still happen ?
for the "game not saving setting" problem follow these steps:
1) Restart your PC ( this is important in your case)
2) close your Torrent client and move your WoW folder away from your Torrent's download destination
3) now right click on WoW folder> Properties> remove "read-only".
