yes, in the past. Like this:
23 December 2016 " Holiday donation bonuses are now live and will last until January 12, 2017! All donations now award from 10% to over 40% bonus coins!"

We do not know if it is gonna happens again or not ( I guess it will)

We have somewhat of a discount each season. We already had a fall season discount. We usually have something special at the end of the each year. Look out for events, cheerful games with rewards and much more.
