I was scammed 500g. Is there any way i can get my money back?

This is my first time ever partaking a real WoW experience as a couple friends convinced me to do it due to a back injury that has bedridden me for several weeks now. In only a short time I have clocked 12 days and 4 hours of play time. The mail said "Warmane Box Gold Gift" and due to the time of year I thought it was just some chance occurrence but since speaking to someone who is more experienced in the game i was told it was a scam. I would please ask that the gold be returned to my account, i'm sure that there is some way to keep track of those transactions as i even took a picture of it in my mailbox considering how excited i was that something that random happened. I do realize that this is not the proper Channel for this to occur on but i'm unaware of any other way to get this remedied. I worked pretty hard on getting all of that gold. Please tell me there is something you guys can do about this.

I have pictorial evidence of all of this too. like WOW.

That's really unfortunate :( I have received several of these C.O.D mails and I almost clicked on it the first time. Just opened my mailbox 5 minutes ago to find another two of them...
Unfortunately I don't think you will get your gold back. I haven't been on Warmane very long but as far as I am aware staff do not help with these kinds of issues (?). All you can do is make sure it doesn't happen again.

As far as I know, COD scamming is bannable.

But yeah, do be more careful and read the pop-up in the middle of the screen which says "ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO SEND BACK 500G?" when you click on a COD...

You cannot get your gold back. GMs will not provide that resolution. However, you can report the incident and get the offending account (whomever mailed you that C.O.D. package) banned, as a consolation.

If you have screenshot evidence, then report the incident from the in-game ticket submission system:
