Please check my krapu88 account, about 9000 gold in inventory disappeared and I can not explain how?

Beginning this year we've done a gold squish, cutting 50% of all gold across all systems, characters, storage and such. This brought out great results in our analysis and we believe doing it on a yearly basis benefits the economy greatly.
With all of this in mind, we have concluded that all realms will receive a gold squish of 50% on January 4, 2018 giving players, once again, our usual warning and plenty of time to use up their reserves before we commence the adjustment of the economy.
What this means is every piece of gold that exists in circulation, be it in the character's inventory, mailbox, guild bank, website trading system or otherwise, will be simply halved. Exactly as it was done last year too.
Just read the Warmane news , we knew for months it was comming

I'm really sorry I did not have time to read, I'm playing on this server with the thought that everything stays the way it is. I did not know this was happening, which is why I kept my gold for "black days" but it seems like I lost 9,000 gold.
If I was talking about 1000 gold, there was not much panic but on this gold I wanted to buy items and I gathered more to use it in this sense.
Can I still do something to recover my loss? At least the items I wanted to buy or something?

This is no excuse for there not being a specific notice in game about the gold squish. How would you like receiving a bank statement that says "Check your local branch for news and events!" and when your account is 50% less they tell you "Too bad, it was on your statement".
I do check the forums and I was prepared for it myself but I can understand the frustration that some people have towards this, especially those who don't come on the forums and just play the game.

I don't understand why they didn't send a automaticly generated ingame mail to every character, to inform them before the gold squish happend.

Putting your account name on the forum not that smart an idea, 1239934870 Devious guys are probably now trying to hack into your account to steal your remaining gold, this would probably be handled better through talking to a gm. Just saying i wouldn't put my account name out for everyone in the world to see. Regardless, Of all the gold squish advertisements this made me smile that you would spend the time to write a question here, when there is a sticky about the squish, not to say offer your account up to getting hacked.
