lost game time

so after the sudden crash/server downtime yesterday, i logged back onto my priest and it's as if the clock was wound backwards an hour or so because i am down two levels and apparently i didn't complete several of the quests i'm well aware that i have already done.

what happened?

is there any explanation for this back tracking?

It doesn't occur often but major server crashes that include a rollback do happen every once in a while.
