how to buy gold with coins from store?

I was told you could but when I go into store and select my character out of the options I don't see gold as one to buy. Its just all items. Am I looking in wrong area in the website store?

The "Store" only has items for sale. In order to obtain gold, you need to navigate to the trade marketplace.

> Trade

> [Server] > [Character] > [Item Trade] > [Buy]

You will be able to select Gold from the side menu.
