Good Caster/Utiliy Class

Hi All,

I want to play a Caster class and i would like to hear your opinion on which of the available options would be a good pick for PvE and PvP (counting while questing on those maps). I also want something that brings some kind of utility to the table.

I would be playing in Lordaeron Realm

i would like to read more opinions, I've never liked the priest-like playstyle. i would like to compare for example a Warlock and a Shaman, what do they bring to the party and how useful they could be.

I've played a warlock 5 years ago on Deathwing and during that time if you were doing decent DPS and didn't afk you were the ****. Guaranteed spot in every guild's core group - just put up that summoning stone, soulstone the healer/tank, stay alive till the end of every fight to finish the boss with soul fire = GG ez clap. Plus every caster loves your SP buff.

Then I switched to priest and it was way more relaxing - your only job is to throw some occasional shields and offheals, you can also be the last man standing during a wipe and kite the boss in dispersion just long enough for it to die from the DoTs. I've had so much fun playing shadow and screwing around while being practically immortal :D

I didn't like my shaman too much, they only inv you for heroism/bloodlust anyway. You'd be better off playing a boomkin as they have more useful buffs and utility stuff (innervate, typhoon, brez, strong offheals, boomkin dance). I'd say good boomkins are even more loved than warlocks.
