Technical Merging two client

Hi all!!!

may I ask a question if it's ok or even possible to merge two client into 1?

for example:

I have downloaded the cataclysm client, and noticed it was not populated and I've checked the website noticing that TBC was heavily populated, so I went ahead and download TBC client my curiousness wanted to know if it's ok, or even possible to merge the two clients?
