From what I've read, they recently changed the naming rules to be something like: the name of a deleted character is unavailable for 30 days. Don't offer an opinion about it. They will ban you.

Oh wow I wish I had known this. I've only been on this server for about a month now, and I had read from several sources that names became available again after 24 hours or so. Three days ago I deleted a character I was using to reserve a name for a DK, and I still can't use it. Now I know why. Kinda irritates me because I pushed pretty hard over the past couple days so I could actually make one.
