Group of people reffused to let me roll fot the items and got no help
A couple of days ago I joined a icc10 group, we got a couple bosses down and in the meantime the raid decided it was good and we should stop at saurfang. Than we started rolling for the items. I got to roll on a caster leather boots for my balance ( i was the only one that could roll on them) and than it was time to roll on 264 ilvl muradin spyglasses. They did not let me roll for it, arguing that I did not do enough damage, did not follow the rules and i was basically left aside while someone got the item for his offspec.
I worked hard to get in that group, i even watched several videos on how to follow the tactics. I deserved that trinket. I screenprinted everything where it was clear to see what happened and the people at fault.
Next step was contacting the support. Their answer? We will look into the issue but we cannot do anything about the trinket.
Warmane claims to offer a blizzard like experience. They even have a section where people can donate to help the staff.
Well i got some news for you, that is not a blizzard like experience. Im not only sad about not getting the item that i worked hard for, im sad that Blizzard wotlk is gone and this type of behavior is encouraged by not punishing correctly the culprits.
Just wanted to share my story with everyone, since I think im still allowed to do so if I want to. Good evening everyone.
(Sorry if the english is not the best, not my main language)
What they meant was they will ban the person if the evidence is correct but you won't receive the trinket.
That is correct. The thing is how is that punishing anyone? You steal money from a bank and you will just keep it after you leave prison? How does that make any sense and appeal to a good behaviour? Something to think about
Not the best metaphor but you get my point.
I do get your point, I'm just saying they aren't being let off without punishment. The ban duration does increase on every repeat offense until it's permanent and I don't know why the GMs don't remove stolen items but I assume they have a reason.

Thats exactly what im trying to understand, since there was no explanation from the person that talked to me.

I wish they did. Why? 30 and 60 day bans for 1st and 2nd timers is nothing compared to mounts, and in some cases, BiS items. Mounts are sometimes behind a +6 month farm periods, if not longer. BiS items can be elusive too, been after one for months, which isn't even hard to reach.

Thats exactly what Im trying to say, thank you.
Even if a item/mount is not that hard to obtain, it´s just wrong letting the people keep their items. They did not deserve them nor its ethically correct.
I don’t think the item is the problem, although I’d like to see the reasoning behind not giving the item back to the person who should’ve gotten it, it’s not like it’s buried somewhere and GM’s have no idea where it is:-)
Punishment for such actions should be Draconic imo, since you can’t punch that greedy little bastard in the face.

You are indeed correct, it isn't a Blizzard like experience.
Just not for the reason you think - Blizzard never created any rules against "ninja," never banned for it, the only exceptions being when some exploit was involved (like being able to roll for something you shouldn't even be offered the option). We are going beyond what Blizzard did on the matter by giving bans when evidence is provided.

Well that is not true, exactly this happened to me a long time before in Mists and i got the item back and the person got suspended for 2 weeks (they also were super rude to me so I guess that helped it, but still). ^^
What do you think hits the most, 2 week ban of having a BIS item being taken away?
That is the reason why I said what you quote

I'm going to take Blizzard's word of not having any policy against "ninja."
I'd point out the fact that even Forum posts on retail, from way after Mists of Pandaria, still have people asking for/discussing the need for rules on that, but the fact Blizzard has none should be more than enough on its own.
