I was told by a gm earlier that they have no access to logs of any kind. I asked him about verifying screenshots as evidence for bans. I was told (and I quote) "It's quite easy to verify a screenshot's integrity." Seems like these statements are both probably lies. As a donor, this is pretty alarming. Seems like a giant oversight to me. Also as a Visual Communications major.... I'd bet my bottom dollar that's wrong. In theory (not advocating this) you guys could make up whatever you want with photoshop.
The gm's name was: Thedrift
Edit: If I'm not wrong, you guys really need to figure out those logs.
Warmane has a structure that is more complex than a simple one owner guy, 3 friends admins and they all have full access.
GMs don't need to have access to the logs so they don't have it. Logs aren't just chat, in general. Chat may or may not be logged (prob is tho) and if it is, there's just so much of it, I see more reasons not to give it to the GMs than to give it to them. With great power comes great responsibility, people would go about just saying "check the logs, he said it!"
Verifying the integrity isn't too hard, that's why it's recommended to use screenshots that aren't cropped or tons of chat windows cut/pasted together, otherwise they're already edited to cut the rest of the window, god knows what other things you're not showing.
