Besides that, check if your old account has been compromised in a data breach of Warmane at late 2016.
Go to: https://haveibeenpwned.com - legitimate website and free service dedicated to help people find out if their account credentials were made public.
On that website, insert your old account email address into the search box and run the query.
If there's at least one found breach in the results, click on "Notify me" in the website menu and submit your compromised account email address.
After that, check for an email from "Have I Been Pwned" in your inbox, open it and click on "Verify my email" button.
It will open a web page specifying the breach(es) where your email was found, if any. Example:
If it has been compromised, there's a pretty good chance your old account email has been changed and your account stolen.
