Here's a general inquiry that I submitted to a "GM":
In 25man Vault of Archaevon I won a roll on loot.
Master Looter gave me the piece of loot. After I received the loot another player rolled higher and they both demanded I turn it over.
I tried to trade with the higher roller but when I tried to trade there was an error saying the player was unable to trade. I tried trading before and after engaging with Toravon the Ice Watcher.
In an effort we both relogged multiple times, tried to trade multiple times. I personally tried 3 times.
After leaving the group I was accused of ninja looting and I anticipate being reported. I took pictures of the chat log in case you would like to see.
I have no history of ninja looting and I do not want to create one. I do not want to face a potential ban due to an in game error, another player missing their opportunity, especially when I attempted to do the right thing. A piece of gear that could be acquired from Emblems of Triumph is not worth a 30 day ban to me.
Thank you for your consideration, have a nice day.
I don't see how I can fix this issue and I see nothing wrong with my actions. What are your thoughts, denizens of Warmane?
To be honest, I think you didn't need to even hand the piece of loot over in the first place. It was already given to you, and you said the guy rolled higher when you had already received it. I'm assuming the rolls had a timer on them, and if that guy didn't roll in time, even if he gets a higher roll, shouldn't get the item. So no, you're not a ninja.
This is a tricky case, because some people might not be eligible for loot if they didnt participate in the boss fight itself, You did nothing wrong, no matter who tries to trade him he cannot get the gear, it would be hard to detect as a GM doin ban reports though, unless they have printscreens of the message when you try to trade him or print screens of the whole recount / skada.
Don't worry that much about being accused for no reason on warmane, it's the bread and butter of most players, you can even be accused of botting on pvp when you're skilled enough, threre is plenty of morons out there. If you have screenshots, video recs and/or logs, you have nothing to fear, most people won't even report you, they just like to threaten and if they report you, you have to wait until it happens so you can appeal to your sanction. Don't forget to put them on your ignore list since people like that rarely are worthy of your time.
