WotLK Xmas event

Nearly every part of the event quest is bugged. There are multiple raids just sitting on the quest npcs doing nothing because they can't start the quest events. Are there any work arounds to fix this poor excuse for an event? I'll take any workarounds for any part of the quest because I've spent days on this horrid event and got 4 parts in.

have you tried crying over it on multiple threads? i've herd that works wonders. also don't forget to accuse the mods who have absolutely nothing to do with development of not caring. that's 100% guaranteed to fix everything.
