WotLK Question regarding old character

Ever since the 2015 Molten drama I have not played, but I have created an account and a character with the reimbursed points and coins and insta-80 that we were provided in 2015 February (according to the marketplace logs). Unfortunately, to my surprise, after wanting to come back, I redownload wow and login, only to see that the account has been wiped, again. Have I missed something, was there some sort of a char wipe? Is there any chance to get my char back and if yes, how should I proceed about that?

According to the marketplace logs it was on Deathwing. Anything you could tell me what happened to that realm?

Deathwing and Ragnaros realms have been merged into Icecrown.

We had around 1 year of time to manually move our characters on the new Realm (Icecrown)
